Improvements in safety and efficiency do not come easy. Advancements in these areas usually come in small changes that add up to improvements
Midwestern Contractors Wins Award
In February BP held its annual Contractor’s Safety Forum. The purpose of the forum is to engage in a dialog with BP to inform them on issues that could improve communication, efficiency, and production. The time spent at the forum benefits contractors because these areas are critical to bringing a project to completion. For example, any improvement in communication can shorten the time to make decisions on project changes, which then keeps the project moving on schedule.
As a bonus Midwestern Contractors (MWC) was honored to receive BP’s Cost and Innovation award for work on a large pipeline relocation project. The company was impressed with how MWC was able to shorten the time required for permits as well as thoroughness of onboarding new hires and the robust security system set up to control access to the project site.
MWC is known for innovation. In an industry as old as this one it can be challenging to find better, faster ways of doing things. But it can be done.
Our heartfelt thanks to our crews and field leadership who do an outstanding job of working safe and maintaining production schedules. A big thanks to our customers who trust us to install and maintain their assets.
