Construction is labor intensive. Machines certainly do the heavy lifting but many things still need to moved around by hand. Wood skids, pallets, plywood, small pipe and fittings, pumps, generators, jack hammers, hydraulic jacks and energy packs. The list goes on. These items can weight 30 to over 100 pounds. improper lift techniques can pull muscles, strain backs and tear tendons. Midwestern Contractors believes that these injuries are avoidable. A liquids pipeline customer replaced all of the pumps in a Northern Ohio facility. This upgrade required new wiring for power and controls throughout the facility.
